Leeds Castle - Walk the White Cliffs - White Cliffs of Dover Area Tour from Dover Cruise Terminal 2020

We are going to take you on a wonderful adventure to give you a full flavour of the English Countryside, Architecture and History, so fasten your seat belt, pack your camera and enjoy the ride! 

 

Itinerary:

 

  • 08:30 - Collect you from alongside your cruise ship at Dover Cruise Terminal

  • 09:30 - Private guided tour of Leeds Castle before they open to the public.

  • 11:15 - Drive through the countryside stopping for lunch in one of the many village pubs (own expense).

  • 13:45 - Walk the White Cliffs of Dover.

  • 16:00 - White Cliffs of Dover Area Tour. 

  • 17:30 - Drive back to Dover Cruise Terminal

  • 17:45 - Tour finishes back at your cruise ship at Dover Cruise Terminal.

  • We take a 10% non refundable deposit to secure the booking.

  • The itinerary may be subject to slight changes and timings are variable due to reasons outside of our control i.e. traffic, weather.

  • There is a moderate amount of walking & we recommend you wear comfortable footwear.

  • Our unique & special visits are often pre booked with specific time slots at venues.

  • Please notify us of any mobility issues. Unfortunately we do not have wheelchair access.

You will be met from alongside your cruise ship at Dover Cruise Terminal with a name board with your name on it at 8:30 am by your Local Guide Gary who will be waiting to take you on your Private Guided Tour for the day.

 

When you’re safely on board it will take about 90 minutes to travel to Leeds Castle, considered one of the loveliest Castles in the world. You will have a unique opportunity to take a 1 hour private guided tour before the Castle opens to the general public. With its centuries of Royal history the Castle sits on a large moat and is set in picturesque grounds.

 

We will then have a drive through the beautiful Kentish countryside stopping for lunch at one of the many traditional Pubs on the way. 

Then we will take you to the Breathtaking White Cliffs of Dover where you can take in the stunning views across the English Channel whilst walking along one of the pathways along the top of the Cliffs, you will be awe inspired at the views!

 

We will take a short drive along the White Cliffs past the South Foreland Lighthouse and through the pretty village of St Margarets at Cliff to its secret bay, from here we will head for the beautiful village of Kingsdown where its believed the Romans first invaded more than 2000 years ago!

Then onto the award winning seaside town of Deal via Walmer Castle the home of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. Discover Deal’s history of smuggling before visiting the quaint medieval town of Sandwich.

The Tour finishes in Dover between 17.30 and 18.00hrs, you’ll then be taken in style and comfort back to Dover Cruise Terminal which will take approx. 15 minutes. 

Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle offer a private guided tour before they open to the general public. I could collect from alongside your cruise ship at Dover Cruise Terminal at 08:30 and be at Leeds Castle for 09:30, the castle opens to the public at 10:30. The cost is £19.50 per person + £50.00 for their guide fee, payable to Leeds Castle by you on the day (this would require pre booking which I can do for you). The normal entrance fee once they've opened to the public and without their guide is £26.50.

After your private guided tour of Leeds Castle, drive through the Kentish countryside and if you like stop for lunch (own expense) in one of the many village pubs. 

Walk the White Cliffs of Dover

Driving past Dover Castle to the White Cliffs of Dover. There is a 5-10 minute walk to the cliffs to get the best views and we can take a walk along the path on top of the Cliffs taking in the Magnificent views, with plenty of photo opportunities. On a clear day you can see the coast of France!

Learn about the formation of the cliffs and how they have play a major part in British history.

White Cliffs of Dover Area Tour

After your walk over the cliffs take a short drive along the White Cliffs pass the South Foreland Lighthouse and through the pretty village of St Margarets at Cliffe to its secret Bay.
